Who operates KindNote

Your anonymous account
KindNote creates an anonymous account to protect your notes and saved library. You do not need to provide a name or email. An account identifier and a session credential are stored on your device. Your anonymous display name, country preference, and preferred mood may be stored with your account. Anonymous does not mean that no data is collected.
Notes and your library
When you send a note, its text, category, intended mood, paper style, and handwriting style are sent to our backend. Approved notes can be shown to other users without your account identifier. Saved notes, collections, received-note history, reactions, reports, and blocked-author relationships may be stored with your account. Your device also keeps a local copy of your library and preferences. Avoid putting contact details or sensitive personal information in a public note.
Safety and AI processing
We run Supabase on our server for account, database, and server-function services. Submitted notes are screened by automated rules and held for the operator to review before distribution. The operator can read note text and report reasons, and review decisions are recorded with a time and private review note. We do not send notes to Anthropic for moderation in this manual-review mode. If you choose to add your own Anthropic key and use the AI note helper, your prompt and generation preferences are sent directly from your device to Anthropic. Your helper key is stored in your device's secure storage, not our database. Without a key, the helper uses local suggestions. Request counters are used to limit abuse.
Device features
Daily reminders use local notifications when you grant permission. You can disable them in KindNote or your device settings. Country selection is a preference for support information; the app does not need precise location for this feature.
Storage and deletion
Account data is kept while your account exists. You can request deletion in Profile, under Privacy and safety. Deletion removes your server account and its associated notes and library data, and clears KindNote's local account data. Other people may already have saved, copied, or shared a note; deleting your account cannot erase copies outside our control. Provider backups and operational logs may remain for their retention periods. Uninstalling the app does not by itself delete server data.
Your choices
You can choose not to send notes or use the AI helper. Use the in-app controls to report a note, block its author, or delete your account. You can contact ynnossence@gmail.com with privacy or data requests. We may need to verify a request before acting on account data.
